Dr. Maria Hiruma


Biography

Dr. Maria Hiruma grew up in San Jose, CA. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Public Health Science from the University of California, Irvine. She then completed a Master of Arts in Biomedical Science and a Doctor of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University in Glendale, Arizona.

Dr. Hiruma is dedicated to providing comprehensive care for her patients and strives to make them feel as comfortable as possible. She believes in the concept of lifelong learning and continues to take continuing education in all aspects of dentistry. She has participated in a rigorous advanced post-graduate program at Kois Center which focuses on evidence-based dentistry and facially driven treatment plans. She enjoys volunteering in outreach programs and has gone on mission trips to Honduras and Tonga. She is a member of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), and a Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI).

Outside of dentistry, Dr. Hiruma enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her hobbies include yoga, rock climbing, cycling, and gardening.
